Cuba Gooding Jr.’s Lawyer Defends Him After He’s Accused Of Groping A Woman

Cuba Gooding Jr.is about to turn himself over to the authorities and it's not an act.

Cuba Gooding Jr.'s lawyer is vigorously defending him after it was alleged that the Oscar victor groped a woman's breast earlier this week at a New York City bar.

It was claimed earlier this week that "The People v OJ Simpson" actor was "highly intoxicated" in the nightspot when he allegedly grabbed a 30-year-old female's breast.

Sources said he would likely be arrested for forcible touching - a misdemeanor charge with a two-year statute of limitations, meaning he can't be prosecuted for the older alleged incident.

In a video posted on TMZ, Gooding, who was at LAX boarding a plane for NY, denied that he'd groped anyone and when asked if he was guilty, he replied, "No". "It is not uncommon for people to come out of the woodwork when these things happen".

"Absolutely not", adding, "I trust the system".

Mr. Heller explained he has tried to contact the Manhattan District Attorney's Sex Crimes Unit, but is still waiting for a return phone call as he wants to know if they have seen the video. In that case, a bartender said the actor was agitated with customers who wanted photos with him and that he pushed her when she asked him to leave.

Gooding said Tuesday that he was partying at the bar, but didn't touch anyone inappropriately.

Previously released video posted on social media shows Gooding at Magic Hour on Sunday night singing the Journey hit "Faithfully" and posing for pictures with fans.

Asked about the reported allegation on Monday, NYPD spokesman Detective Martin Brown said, "We don't really have anything official to say about it other than that there's been an allegation and that it is now under investigation".

Gooding won the Academy Award for best supporting actor in 1997 for his portrayal of an athlete in the film Jerry Maguire.
