Paramount Animation has just revealed what they want - what they really, really want.

Just as wonderful as hearing that is learning the fierce five-some came up with the premise for the forthcoming Spice Girls movie themselves.

"They are very involved", the president of Paramount Animation told the paper, adding they "had an idea [they'd] been developing" the film.

Mel B (Scary), Mel C (Sporty), Emma Bunton (Baby), Geri Halliwell (Ginger), and Victoria Beckham (Posh) are working with Paramount Animation on a new Spice Girls film, EW has learned.

The Spice Girls founded in 1994 and found global success with songs including Wannabe, Who Do U Think You Are? and 2 Become 1.

The animated Spice Girls movie will mark the second time the singing-and-dancing sirens have graced the big screen. Simon Fuller is producing the film, which will be penned by Karen McCullah and Kiwi Smith.

The yet-unnamed Spice Girls film is due to be released in 2020, 13 years after the girls' first move, Spice World was released. In 1997, three years after the Spice Girls formed, the musical comedy Spice World opened in theaters.

The group is now on its Spice World reunion tour sans Beckham, who has chosen to focus on her successful fashion line.

For fans of 90s pop music, a new movie is coming to spice up your life. Released at the height of the Spice Girls' cultural power, the film proved to be a box office hit, marking the then-highest debut for a Super Bowl Weekend, and raking in $151 million worldwide.
