'American Horror Story' Season 9 Cast: Angelica Ross Joins 'AHS 1984'

The new cast members include Zach Villa, DeRon Horton, and Matthew Morrison, as well as Pose star Angelica Ross.

Ross took to her own Instagram on Wednesday afternoon to reveal the news to her 76K followers.

The video starts in a spooky cabin, with a shadowy, hooded figure walking ominously towards us, before the smooth sounds of Dan Hartman's "I Can Dream About You", kick in on the soundtrack.

What do you think of the cast reveal, though? If you haven't seen it, maybe the most '80s movie ever made. This is clearly an homage to the classic summer slasher flicks of the time, like the Friday the 13th and Sleepaway Camp film series. Horror fans still love and revere them to this day. As is customary with the series at this point, little is known about the plot of the season.

We'll probably have to wait til September 18 to find out, but either way, there's always a twist of some sort with American Horror Story, no matter how confusing or sometimes nonsensical. All we know is that we're living for Billie Lourd as "VHS Workout Tape Barbie". For the first time, the Glee alum is reuniting with executive producer Ryan Murphy for the show.

AHS mastermind Ryan Murphy has just unloaded minutes upon minutes of new footage featuring 1984's major players, in the process answering a ton of lingering casting questions, while letting the frightful throwback fashions - mostly - serve up their own kind of scares. In that series, Paulson plays the character of Nurse Ratched from "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest", but this is a prequel to that story. Peters has been in every single season since Murder House back in 2011.
