Love Island star addresses Maura's 'intentions' with Curtis — Megan Barton-Hanson

Maura was the last Islander to pick a boy to recouple with, and the only options left were new boy Chris and her former love interest Marvin.

Calling Curtis her favourite boy this season, the model said: "I love how sassy [Maura] is".

The ex royal navy officer was coupled up with Maura in the villa but they never pursued a romantic relationship. In terms of finding someone romantically, I found it hard but in terms of friendship, I had a brilliant time! I really struggled with self-esteem for a long time.

Defending Maura's newly-surfaced feelings for Curtis, she said: "When you spend that much time with someone they will grow on you".

While the most challenging aspect for the islander was getting to know the girls, 'on a deeper level'.

"I've given up a place that 130,000 people applied for but I had to leave as I wasn't myself any more".

He isn't sure why the romance fizzled out between himself and Maura.

But she is angered when Maura asks Curtis for a back massage, in full view of her rival.

The Irish beauty made her feelings known as during her own recoupling speech, where she chose to pair up with Chris, she said the evening "hadn't gone as planned".

'She gave me the opportunity to come into the Villa and in this re-coupling, she gave someone else an opportunity by coupling up with them'.

"They are acting like a couple who've been together for years". It's really nice to see. "Those couples are the strongest for me".

Later, Maura warns: "If I choose him to couple up with and he still gets to know her I swear to God I will pack my bags".

Marvin would, '100%,' go back into the villa if given the chance.

She continued: "Once this is all done, we will have the best friendship you've ever seen in your life".

"They've actually gotten in touch with me the past two years".

He says he was close with George, Ovie and Anton in the villa. I would do it all again tomorrow.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2.
