Family and police sources have reportedly said that an 18-month-old boy at the center of a now-canceled Amber Alert in Texas is dead. It's not yet known how he died.

"He's dead. He's gone", said Jackson.

An Amber Alert was then issued for the boys at around 3 a.m. amid increasing concern for their well-being. She reported that she put the child down to sleep after 11:00 p.m., and discovered him missing at around 6:00 a.m.

An Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for Cedric after he was reportedly abducted from his aunt's apartment in the Lake Highlands area of Dallas. He was taken to jail for unrelated warrants.

Johal still believes the Ontario system is effective, but says the province can iron out the wrinkles to make it ever more effective while cutting back on complaints.
