The game even gives you a chance to collaborate with crafters and make ideal works of art together.

You will need an iOS device running iOS10 or later, or an Android device running Android 7 or later, to play the Minecraft Earth beta. Upon that plot, players can build whatever they like with the building blocks gathered from the world around them while playing the game. Indeed, even the official site presently has a page up that reveals insight into the Minecraft Earth.

Minecraft Earth makes everyone's favorite crafting game more immersive than ever before. Signing up however does not guarantee you a beta spot, it merely gives you a chance to be one of the first people to get their hands on an early copy of the game. You also shouldn't get too attached to your progress as the developers say they will occasionally need to reset the game as they test out and add new features. Obviously, there will be game sessions that will take advantage of virtual reality and thanks to which we can build together with other players. It's described as a "living, breathing" Minecraft world.

Right now, you can head over to the Minecraft Earth website and plug in your information to be a part of the closed beta. But hey, at least you'll get a cool free skin!

Minecraft Earth's release date is a step closer this week, as Mojang opens closed beta registration. You may want a Microsoft or Xbox Live account to register, however as soon as you have signed up there's nothing left to do but wait, and prepare to build.

Collecting these will help you level up, and once enough materials have been collected you can start building on any flat surface using a "Build Plate", a small section of the Minecraft Earth world.
