Bhanuka Rajapaksa bludgeoned a half-century and Nuwan Pradeep starred with the ball as Sri Lanka sealed a maiden Twenty20 global bilateral series win over Pakistan with a 35-run victory in Lahore.

Bhanuka Rajapaksa struck an aggressive maiden worldwide half-century as Sri Lanka made 182-6 before spinner Wanindu Hasaranga took 3-38 to help bowl Pakistan out for 147 in 19 overs.

But it was Hasaranga who dismantled Pakistan's middle order as he dismissed Ahmed Shehzad for 13, Umar Akmal for a golden duck, and Sarfaraz (26) in the eighth over.

The hosts, who won the preceding one-day worldwide series in Karachi 2-0, were outplayed by visitors in all departments in the first T20I on Saturday.

Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapaksha proved to be the ideal foils to Gunathilaka in the last T20I, when the visitors raced to 135/2 in the 16th over after being put in to bat by the hosts.

"I don't think it's an easy task to come to Pakistan and beat the no.1 T20I side".

Pakistan's poor ground fielding also let the team down as Rajapaksa and Jayasuriya both survived close run-out chances early in their innings.

Rajapaksa added 94 for the third wicket with Shehan Jayasuriya, who made a 28-ball 34 with four boundaries.

"We didn't play good cricket", Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed said.

Rajapaksa's half-century, described by captain Shanaka as a "masterclass", put Pakistan's bowlers under pressure as leg-spinner Shadab Khan conceded 38 runs before he had the left-hander caught in the deep in the 17th over.

Rajitha sent Fakhar Zaman (6 runs) back to the pavilion while Pradeep took the wicket of Babar Azam (3 runs) in the third and fourth overs, respectively. The current team of visitors is without many of their big players who earlier stepped back from touring to the green flag nation.

Sri Lanka won the first match by 64 runs and the final game of the series will be played on Wednesday.
