Cupertino tech giant Apple recently released macOS Catalina, the latest macOS version for Macs, iMacs, MacBooks and MacBook Pros.

macOS Catalina brings a host of new features and updates for MacBook users.

Select Mac Apps will allow you to use Sidecar to draw and mark up items on your Mac using the Apple Pencil on your iPad display.

You can use cloud saves with Apple Arcade games so don't worry if you thought you might have to start over again if you made a decision to install Apple Arcade on your mac. You get support for both wired and wireless connections, where the former lets you charge the iPad while connected, and the latter simply helps you stay mobile.

Unfortunately, while Apple originally suggested the feature would be arriving "later this fall," the company quietly updated its macOS Catalina page last night, changing the asterisked footnote for the feature to read "Coming this spring" instead, which presumably means early 2020. So what you'll get now are: Apple Music, Apple Podcasts and Apple TV. So macOS Catalina became available for download tree weeks after the release of iOS 13, yesterday, October 7, 2019. The shared folder feature would've let users share an entire folder with files included with others, allowing them to view all the contents inside.

It's not the most comprehensive update Apple has ever put out for Mac, but it's definitely got lots of good stuff.

Thompson said, "I am hopeful that this is just a 1.0 (if you count the Mojave apps as a public beta), and things will continue to improve".

Apple Arcade arrives on the Mac, Apple TV, iPads and iPhones.

Apple introduced iTunes in 2001, and revolutionised digital music with the 2003 launch of the iTunes retailer.

Developer's have reported that the process for porting their iPad apps to Catalina has been frustrating thus far. We're not sure if these titles will take more time to arrive, but the lovely puzzler Assemble With Care, as well Lego Brawls and Sonic Racing, are not in the Mac App Store.

People from across the globe have been reporting issues after they have upgraded to macOS Catalina. Do you know which platform it isn't available on? macOS. However, the new Music app uses a different format to organize music libraries, so this methods of sharing can no longer be used.

There are a number of additional new tools that come with Catalina as well.

If you can't or don't want to use traditional input methods, the new macOS now enables control via voice.
