Kevin Hart Finally Speaks Out One Month After Car Accident

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reportedly determined the terrifying auto crash involving Kevin Hart was caused by the driver operating the vehicle in a reckless fashion.

The message had Hart addressing the two friends - Jared Black and Rebecca Broxterman - who were in the vehicle with him as well at the time of the crash.

"I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery", he said.

The "Ride Along" star was in the auto with two other people - driver Jared Black and his fiancee Rebecca Broxterman - when his Plymouth Barracuda veered off the highway and ended up in a gully about 10 feet off the road.

Kevin's wife had provided several updates on the star's condition in the days following his accident but this is the first time that Hart himself has spoken out about the situation.

The blue Barracuda crashed about 10 feet off the road and into a ditch, leaving Black and the comedian with "major back injuries", TMZ reported. Evidence from an examination of the Plymouth suggested no one had been wearing seatbelts.

The third occupant, personal trainer Broxterman, was unharmed, according to E!

"Hart doesn't anticipate going back to work full time until early next year, assuming everything stays on track with his physical therapy".

According to the report, there were "fold and crease marks on the belt surfaces consistent with being folded and tucked into the seats and no indicators of occupant loading were present".

Hart's attorney, Andrew Brettler, told The Associated Press on Thursday that the actor is doing OK, still recovering from his injuries and doing physical therapy at home. Thus far, Kevin has returned to acting to shoot low-key promotional scenes for Jumanji but he will only return fully to work in 2020.

'Hart has not been in full costume for these shoots and he's not walking much for them either-sitting through most of the day-even though he can walk on his own.
